Happy New Year from the AMA Tampa Bay President
First and foremost, I would like to wish you and your families a very happy 2013! But please allow me to reflect for a moment on the year that just ended. While we make such a production out of the year that has yet to begin, how often do we ponder the previous 365 days of our lives? What did you accomplish in 2012 of significance? Perhaps a new job or promotion, a new client or account, a new skill, a new employee? Personally, did you get married, welcome the birth of a child, buy a house, sell a house (maybe even for a profit!), take the trip of a lifetime or fulfill some other bucket list item?
For me, 2012 has been one of growth, opportunity and immense pride. I have had the significant privilege of being your AMA president since July and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such an opportunity. The people I meet at the luncheons, the speakers we host, and the members who entrust their hard earned money to our organization make me proud to be associated with AMA. But my greatest sense of satisfaction comes from working with the best and brightest marketers in the region who volunteer their time on committees and serve on our Board of Directors. Without their dedication and entrepreneurial spirit we would not be nearly the success that we are. I have learned a great deal from all of them and hope that they too have benefited from our association and collaboration.
And let me take a moment to sincerely thank all of the sponsors who dedicated their valuable resources and skills to our organization in 2012. We could not produce the events that provide education for attendees, or promote a variety of messages through multiple online and offline channels, without these fantastic companies. I invite you to visit http://www.amatb.wpengine.com/our-sponsors/annual-sponsors.aspx to learn more about these sponsors and encourage you to consider them for your marketing needs.
Once again, may you have a prosperous, healthy and happy new year. Our mantra at AMA Tampa Bay is to “Be AMAzing” and if we continue the trajectory from 2012, then 2013 will indeed be the best yet.
Best regards,
Greg Millman
