About the AMA Tampa Bay
 

Our mission is to create a place where marketing professionals in the Tampa Bay area can JOIN a strong community dedicated to the advancement of marketing, GROW in their careers and LEAD the future generation.

We do this by providing innovative resources and tools, attending conferences and training, hosting monthly keynote luncheons and workshops, organizing social networking events and providing career resources, certification and job search assistance to our members.

As a professional chapter of the American Marketing Association and a trusted ally in its nationwide network, AMA Tampa Bay stands strong in its mission to provide opportunities for Tampa Bay marketers to expand their knowledge, improve their skills, and grow in their careers through access to leaders in the field and skill-building content. Our vision is to be the most valued marketing association membership in Tampa Bay.

Our culture is special in that it is common for us to question "the way things have always been done," and our creative ideas are always accompanied by practical solutions. The unique combination of scholarly study and managerial application can only be found in the AMA culture.

AMA TAMPA BAY COLLEGIATE CHAPTERS

AMA TB Collegiate Chapter Logo

Tampa Bay is home to several AMA Collegiate Chapters including Florida Southern College, St. Leo University, The University of South Florida, and The University of Tampa. Activities within Collegiate Chapters include extracurricular activities such as workshops, live agency experiences, leadership development, hard skills acquisition, national conferences, and others.

Collegiate Chapters also provide student members the opportunity to join the largest Professional Marketing Organization in the United States and engage with a strong community of Marketing Professionals through AMA Tampa Bay.

Nate Vigil, President

Nate Vigil is a Senior Marketing Manager for a Digital Marketing Agency based in Chicago - Team 201. Nate assists middle market SaaS companies drive strategic growth and revenue in the digital space.

For the last 15+ years, Nate has led online marketing programs in web design, web development, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising (PPC), online marketing campaigns, and social media marketing strategy.

Nate is passionate about driving growth in the digital space with an emphasis on obsessing over the user experience.

Kelsy Long

Kelsy Long, President-Elect

Kelsy serves as the Director of Media Relations for Clearwater Marine Aquarium. She leads all media pitching, story development, content strategy, and content distribution to push forward CMA’s mission and enhance the brand. Her efforts are focused on garnering international, regional, and local coverage for CMA. Kelsy has secured publicity in media outlets such as Good Morning America, Travel + Leisure, CNN, Boston Globe, USA Today.

Hussain Shamseddine

Hussain Shamseddine, Immediate Past President

Hussain Shamseddine is the Senior Marketing Manager at Monin Gourmet Flavorings. He is responsible for providing support to the Product & Analytics Marketing Team pertaining to new product launch initiatives and product support materials.

Previously, Shamseddine was one of 10 individuals selected nationwide by the Newspaper Association of America in Washington, D.C., where he completed a Digital Media Fellowship.

Alexis Quintal, Secretary

Alexis Quintal’s career is the intersection of marketing strategy and public relations. As a PR & Marketing Consultant, she has supported both local and global organizations in growing their revenue and maximizing all aspects of their content strategy, including their social and earned media. After a career in corporate media sales, Alexis focuses on ROI-driven marketing strategies and activation campaigns for her clients, which are majority B2B businesses in industries such as tech/biotech, software/IT, cybersecurity, coaching and entrepreneurship, and more. She is known for being goal-driven and becoming an extension of each of her client's team.

Yasmine Yafai BG

Yasmine Yafai, VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Marketing Senior at The University of Tampa with collegiate and entertainment industry experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). She currently holds the position of Vice President of DE&I for her sorority Alpha Chi Omega and for her professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi.

Nikki Rodgers

Nikki Rodgers, Treasurer

Nikki is the Director of Finance & Accounting at Spine Media, LLC where she is responsible for all aspects of Finance and Accounting. She leads all creation and deployment of new accounting/financial processes, procedures and reporting, and the establishment of new business entities. She is a CPA in the State of Florida and has over 14 years of experience in the industry.

Allison Shaub, VP of Communications

Allison Shaub has over a decade of experience helping B2B and B2C brands build and scale their marketing efforts to drive market share in increasingly competitive spaces. In her tenure, she’s directed all phases of both the creative and technical elements of marketing initiatives for non-profits, agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.

In her current role as the VP of Marketing at TrueLook, a SaaS leader in the construction visualization space – she is responsible for developing strategic marketing and communications programs that generate awareness, achieve business targets, and drive deeper consumer engagement.

Evan Brenner Headshot

Evan Brenner, VP of Programming

Evan unofficially began his marketing career in 2005 as manager and front man of a Tampa Bay-based rock band. His passion for events promotion and advertising led him to pick up a copy of Guerilla Marketing and create a flashy Myspace profile. These days, Evan is the Digital Content Specialist at Geographic Solutions, where he manages the company’s digital marketing efforts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of South Florida.

Evan is the founder of the Pinellas Tech Network Meetup. The networking night received a nomination in the Bridge Builder category at the 2020 Tampa Bay Tech Awards. Evan is also on the University of South Florida Digital Marketing Certificate Program Advisory Board.

Catherine Gagliardo, VP of Marketer of the Year

Cat is the owner of Branded by Cat, a boutique marketing agency passionate about bringing brands to life using creative, tangible products. Her expertise encompasses all facets of the product development process from concept to creation – including domestic & global sourcing, manufacturing, imprinting, and fulfillment. A University of Tampa alumna, she has built her Marketing career in Tampa Bay.

Gary Beemer

Gary Beemer, VP of Collegiate

Gary Beemer is a Lecturer of Marketing at The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business.

Prior to teaching, he was an entrepreneur and business owner, and then an intrapreneur in Sales and Marketing Management for nearly 25 years at Mars Inc. where he worked on brands such as Snickers®, M&M’s®, Starburst®, Combos® and others.

Alfred Goldberg

Alfred Goldberg, VP of Technology

Alfred Goldberg is the President of Absolute Marketing Solutions in Tampa, Florida. A professional marketer and former college instructor, Alfred has held numerous leadership roles with Tampa Bay technology and creative organizations, including Tampa Bay Wave, AIGA Tampa Bay, Tampa Sister Cities, and Leadership Connect Florida.

Alfred has over a quarter of a century of experience in strategic marketing and has worked with brands such as Bayer, Tyson Foods, and KraftMaid. Alfred is a frequent public speaker who has presented as far away as Argentina and to crowds as large as 500.

John is a Growth-Marketing Consultant and the CEO and  Great Impressions Advertising and Marketing.

With a career spanning 40 years, John has worked for several leading advertising agencies, including Lintas and BBDO, managing campaigns in the UK, Middle East, North Africa, and the US markets. During this time, John has provided advertising and marketing services to some of the world's leading brands. Notably, British Airways, British Petroleum, DHL, DP World, Emaar, Emirates, FrieslandCampina, Fonterra NZ, Géant Hypermarkets, General Motors, KLM, Mars, Microsoft, Pepsico, Qantas, and Unilever, to name a few. John moved to Florida in 2018.

Sat is a 4X founder and the current CEO of Maya Ai - a fast growing Tampa Ai startup supporting mid market and enterprise brands.

Sat is a recognized innovator in Ai,  deep tech award winning speaker and mentors new startup CEOs.

At the age of 19, Sat left college to start his first company. 10+ years later, he is running and operating his 5th startup. He has built businesses in software development, marketing agencies, call centers, and tech-enabled companies.

His current day-to-day involves growth planning, financial planning ,data intelligence, product innovation, and team building for his tech startup Maya Ai.
