Our vision is to be the most valued marketing association membership in Tampa Bay.

AMA TAMPA BAY COLLEGIATE CHAPTERS
Tampa Bay is home to several AMA Collegiate Chapters including Florida Southern College, St. Leo University, The University of South Florida, and The University of Tampa. Activities within Collegiate Chapters include extracurricular activities such as workshops, live agency experiences, leadership development, hard skills acquisition, national conferences, and others.
Collegiate Chapters also provide student members the opportunity to join the largest Professional Marketing Organization in the United States and engage with a strong community of Marketing Professionals through AMA Tampa Bay.
AMA TAMPA BAY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Hussain Shamseddine, President
Hussain Shamseddine is the Senior Marketing Manager at Monin Gourmet Flavorings. He is responsible for providing support to the Product & Analytics Marketing Team pertaining to new product launch initiatives and product support materials.
Previously, Shamseddine was one of 10 individuals selected nationwide by the Newspaper Association of America in Washington, D.C., where he completed a Digital Media Fellowship.
Nate Vigil, President-Elect
Nate Vigil is the Digital Marketing Team Lead for J.S. Held where he leads all aspects of digital strategy and marketing for the firm.
For the last 15 years, Nate has led online marketing programs in web design, web development, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising, online marketing campaigns, and social media marketing strategy.
Nate is passionate about driving growth in the digital space with an emphasis on obsessing over the user experience.
Justine Burke, Immediate Past President
Justine has more than 30 years of experience in marketing strategy and brand development.
She is the Vice President of Marketing - Metropolitan Ministries, where her primary responsibility is to ensure a consistent and compelling brand experience for constituents from initial interest throughout their lifetime to drive revenue, volunteerism, engagement, and advocacy.
Kelsy Long, Secretary
Kelsy serves as the Director of Media Relations for Clearwater Marine Aquarium. She leads all media pitching, story development, content strategy, and content distribution to push forward CMA’s mission and enhance the brand. Her efforts are focused on garnering international, regional, and local coverage for CMA. Kelsy has secured publicity in media outlets such as Good Morning America, Travel + Leisure, CNN, Boston Globe, USA Today.
Qiana Cressman, VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Qiana is an award-winning leader with 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, media relations, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in healthcare. Currently, Qiana is the national director of biomedical partnerships for the American Red Cross. Qiana is a National Spokesperson for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America and holds Board seats on the First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union Bank and the American Marketing Association – Tampa Bay Chapter. She resides in Clearwater, Florida with her husband.
Nikki Rodgers, Treasurer
Nikki is the Director of Finance & Accounting at Spine Media, LLC where she is responsible for all aspects of Finance and Accounting. She leads all creation and deployment of new accounting/financial processes, procedures and reporting, and the establishment of new business entities. She is a CPA in the State of Florida and has over 14 years of experience in the industry.
Jeff Philbin, VP of Membership
The only thing Jeff Philbin loves more than marketing & people is bringing the two together in business! A servant leader cultivating relationships & delivering strategic branding experiences through creative advertising & media solutions that make for win-win-win outcomes from over a decade of client-side and agency perspective.
Catherine Gagliardo, VP of Marketer of the Year
Cat is the owner of Branded by Cat, a boutique marketing agency passionate about bringing brands to life using creative, tangible products. Her expertise encompasses all facets of the product development process from concept to creation – including domestic & global sourcing, manufacturing, imprinting, and fulfillment. A University of Tampa alumna, she has built her Marketing career in Tampa Bay.
Gary Beemer, VP of Collegiate
Gary Beemer is a Lecturer of Marketing at The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business.
Prior to teaching, he was an entrepreneur and business owner, and then an intrapreneur in Sales and Marketing Management for nearly 25 years at Mars Inc. where he worked on brands such as Snickers®, M&M’s®, Starburst®, Combos® and others.
Alfred Goldberg, VP of Technology
Alfred Goldberg is the President of Absolute Marketing Solutions in Tampa, Florida. A professional marketer and former college instructor, Alfred has held numerous leadership roles with Tampa Bay technology and creative organizations including Tampa Bay Wave, AIGA Tampa Bay, Tampa Sister Cities, and Leadership Connect Florida.
Alfred has over a quarter of a century of experience in strategic marketing and has worked with brands such as Bayer, Tyson Foods, and KarftMaid. Alfred is a frequent public speaker who has presented as far away as Argentina and to crowds as large as 500.
Lisette Sanfilipo, VP of Volunteers
Lisette is an accomplished marketer with nearly 20 years of combined experience in marketing and sales. The majority of her career was spent with Verizon where she led marketing teams both nationally and in the Tampa Bay area. Her primary concentration was in product marketing and marketing strategy development and execution. She has been in the Tampa Bay area most of her life and is a graduate of the University of South Florida.
David Capece, VP of Programming
David Capece, CEO - David Capece is CEO of Sparxoo, and INC 5000 digital agency headquartered in Tampa Bay. David has more than 20 years of strategic marketing and brand experience, including leadership at ESPN and Interbrand. David has led branding and strategy projects with Dr. Pepper, Snapple, JP Morgan Chase,
The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Habitat for Humanity, Comcast and NBC. David holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Wharton Business School and a BA from Johns Hopkins University. He has also served as an Adjunct Marketing Professor at the University of Tampa.
Katie Martinez, VP of Sponsorship
Katie works at the Tampa Bay Business Journal as a Multimedia Account Executive. She is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media strategies that target an affluent audience. Katie has been awarded Salesperson of the Year and is an Eagle Award recipient. She has also made the 2019 Chairman's Club and in the 2020 Leadership Academy. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014 with a BA in communication, a concentration in public relations, and minored in theatre.
