A few months back we hosted an event focused on branding with Tampa Bay Rays VP of Marketing and Communications Tom Hoof. The Tampa Bay Rays baseball team has an image and reputation that resonates throughout the community by creating a collective personality built on a foundation of strong brand traits. Leaving behind the “Devil Rays” name and colors, and improving the fan experience have boosted the respectability of the Rays’ brand.
Tom Hoof played a key role in the transformation of the team’s image with the launch of a new name, colors, logo and uniforms in November 2007. Hoof and his marketing staff developed comprehensive strategies that made an impact throughout the team and the Tampa Bay community.
