AMA Tampa Bay Announces New President, Board of Directors for 2021-2022

Tampa, FL – The Tampa Bay chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) has announced its new board of directors and president for the 2021-2022 board term. The new board features six first-time members as well as eight returning members.

Qiana Cressman, National Director of Biomedical Partnerships at the American Red Cross, will join the board of directors as VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This new board position is responsible for driving and increasing diversity in AMA Tampa Bay’s speakers, partnerships, board members, and members at all levels.

“It is important for the composition of our leadership, partnerships and endeavors to reflect the diverse community of members and professionals we serve,” said Cressman. “I’m excited to lead the advancement of our DE&I objectives for AMA Tampa Bay in collaboration with the board.” 

Hussain Shamseddine, Digital Marketing Manager at the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council and Make It Tampa Bay, brings over 15 years of experience in marketing management to the position of board president. He steps into the role on July 1, 2021 as Justine Burke, Vice President of Marketing at Metropolitan Ministries, becomes immediate past president.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead our AMA-zing Tampa Bay chapter of 300 members strong,” said Shamseddine. “The Tampa Bay area is open for business and we are noticing an influx of new talent moving to the area daily. With our growing population comes an opportunity for our chapter to support and build an even larger community for marketing professionals.”
