Content Expert from Leading Florida Healthcare Brand to Share Keys to Improving Internet Marketing at AMA Tampa Bay Event on Sept. 24

TAMPA, Fla. – September 3, 2015 – Victoria Edwards, content marketing expert at Florida Blue, will present at American Marketing Association (AMA) Tampa Bay’s event at 8 a.m. on Sept. 24 at The Chart House, 7616 Courtney Campbell Trail.

Edwards’ presentation – “Top Trends and Challenges in Healthcare Marketing” – will review online content trends that impact marketing strategy and discuss how the evolving healthcare landscape offers new opportunities to engage people with meaningful content. Attendees will learn effective techniques to increase an organization’s reach, engagement and revenue.

“I like to speak very granularly, so attendees can expect to learn a lot and leave with plenty of takeaways for their own organizations,” Edwards says. “We will cover search engine optimization, things you can do daily to improve your internet marketing, what not to do, how to create content and how to evaluate your current website. We’ll leave plenty of time for questions and will even take time to crawl and evaluate a few websites.”

According to the most recent Pew Internet Survey, 80 percent of respondents reported going online for answers to their health questions. Meanwhile, healthcare marketers struggle to produce quality content fast enough to feed the growing demand.

Marketing professionals are invited to discuss how to succeed in communicating accurate and beneficial information to consumers, while overcoming potential medical and legal obstacles found in the healthcare industry.

This event is coordinated by AMA Tampa Bay’s Healthcare Shared Interest Group, which focuses exclusively on bringing educational opportunities to healthcare marketers in Tampa Bay.

“Sustaining a successful content marketing program may seem like an arduous task for a healthcare organization with so many critical eyes watching and with growing competition,” said Christine Roemer, account supervisor at &Barr and vice president of healthcare with AMA Tampa Bay. “But it’s worth the time and effort to engage your audience with consistent, compliant and trustworthy content and to measure the response against benchmarks.”

The cost of the event is $35 for AMA Tampa Bay members, $40 for non-members and $25 for students, and will include a hot breakfast and networking. To register for the Sept. 24 event, visit amahealthcarecontent.eventbrite.com.
