Jill Solomon – Tampa Bay AMA’s Educator of the Year Award Winner

The Tampa Bay AMA is pleased to announce the winner of the Educator of the Year Award, Jill Solomon.  Solomon is an esteemed marketing professor at University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. When reflecting on her eighteen years of teaching, Solomon is most proud of her role as a mentor to her students.  In 2014, Solomon earned both the William R. Jones Outstanding Mentor Award by the Florida Education Fund and the Hugh G. Wales Outstanding Faculty Advisor for North America.

When asked what winning the Tampa Bay AMA’s Educator of the Year Award meant to her, Solomon shared,

“I am blessed to work with talented, driven students both as a classroom instructor and as a USF-AMA advisor. Honestly, the very fact that they thought so highly of me as to nominate me for this recognition is the best part of this award. Earning the respect of my practitioner peers is a huge compliment and I am humbled by it.”

Jill Solomon has been a professor in USF’s Marketing Department since 1998. She teaches courses in Marketing Management, International Marketing, and Promotion Management. She is co-advisor to USF’s collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association and a member of AMA.

Solomon has authored eight textbook supplements: PowerPoint slides for five editions of Global Marketing by Keegan and Green and test banks for three edition of Marketing Management by Marshall and Johnson.
