Learn the ins and outs of how WUSF Public Media’s first digital-only brand, Arts Axis, addressed a need in our community, why it is important to be inclusive of all of our local arts organizations, and the products developed to market and build audience share.

Arts Axis Florida is a comprehensive initiative by WUSF Public Media and the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay to provide an Arts Hub for the West Central Florida market and beyond that is accessible to everyone. It is born from the circumstances of the pandemic but will be a sustainable brand moving forward. Our goal is to increase brand awareness for our arts partners and help engage and promote their content to new consumers.

Leslie will share how to:

  • Tackle content creation and leverage multiple audiences in a new way.
  • Decide if podcasting is right for your brand (and how to reach niche audiences with it).
  • Collaborate effectively with other organizations in your industry or market.
  • Reinvent your organization to meet your audience where they live.

Leslie Laney is WUSF Public Media’s Marketing & Strategic Initiatives Manager. She has extensive training in strategic planning and uses key indicators, systems thinking and creative innovations to develop overall strategies for success. Her specialty is working with businesses to harness and integrate the power of social media and creative content into their marketing plans. In addition to her duties at WUSF, Leslie is the owner of A Media Marketing, a Tampa, FL based boutique marketing firm.

A Media Marketing provides their clients with video production, podcasting, web development, search engine optimization and strategic marketing plans. Her approach focuses on each client’s exact need, their target audience and how that target audience prefers to receive and consume content. Understanding these three principles is key in helping to elevate any organization’s marketing approach. Leslie also offers marketing training courses to both individuals and departments within their client’s business model. A Media Marketing has proudly served the Tampa Bay community since 1969.
