Committee: Programming

Responsible for leading the development and execution of the event plan and driving event attendee engagement and satisfaction. This role is an opportunity to demonstrate networking, professional marketing, and public speaking as a marketing strength and affords the opportunity to build relationships within the Tampa Bay marketing community. There will be an estimated 4 in-person events and a possibility of virtual events.

Responsibilities include
• Coordinate all logistics.
• Serve as the liaison between AMA and event venue for all planning needs.
• Coordinate speaker’s calendar, event dates, and venue location.
• Coordinate with Programming and Communication teams as appropriate.
• Ensure all speaker information is collected (speaker bio, headshot, and content summary).
• Communicate event (Eventbrite, newsletters, social media).
• Ensure the experience for the speaker and attendees is efficient and enjoyable.
• Set up registration tables (coordinate any printing of badges).
• Update event reconciliation report.

Commitment
• 3-4 hours per month
• Regular attendance at luncheons and networking events

Requirements
• Strong communication skills.
• Marketing background preferred (sales background nice to have)
• Ability to work cross-functionally – coordinating initiatives across the AMA Board and chapter.
