It’s Your Time to Shine
Choose one or several categories to showcase your best Changemaking marketing campaign results. At the end of the submission period, all entries are tabulated by judges out-of-market for unbiased results.
Cost of Entry:
- Early Member Rate – $25
- Early Non-Member Rate – $50
- Final Member Rate After 3/15 – $50
- Final Non-Member Rate After 3/15 – $75
Eligible campaigns for entry:
- Any marketing work that was created during 2020 by a marketer based in Tampa Bay – Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota Counties.
- Any marketing work that was created during 2020 by a marketing/advertising agency in the Tampa Bay area
What to Submit: We strongly encourage uploading files that directly support your submission with your application. This should include images, logos, creative, web or landing pages, video, or other collateral. You may include extra materials that will add dimension to your entry, including but not limited to: advertising/direct marketing examples, URLs for web sites or digital materials, videos/multimedia. Multimedia must be submitted in a format that can easily be played on a playback device.
Important Note: The same campaign can be submitted in multiple categories but each entry requires a separate application fee. You are more likely to have favorable scores if the campaign is customized based on the category.

Best Innovative Marketing – How did your company innovate to develop a new product or service in 2020?
OR How did your company shift your campaign messaging, strategy, or approach to adapt in 2020?
Best Community Project – How did your company help the community or those in need in 2020? (Campaigns may include raising awareness for jobs, hunger, housing, or other COVID-related needs)
Best Virtual Event – How did your company shift from an in-person event to an online platform and what were the results?
Best In-Person Event (Socially-Distanced) – How did you host a safe event within guidelines and what were the results?
Best Overall Campaign – Did you pull off a killer campaign despite the pandemic? We want to celebrate it! Your campaign may include ANY and all forms of marketing (i.e.: digital, print, video, press, OOH, traditional, etc and doesn’t need to be COVID-related). The does not need to be multi-channel but must include 5 pieces of content.
Changemaker of the Year (Person) – An individual in the marketing community who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to give back to the Tampa Bay community in 2020.
Best Student Marketing Project: Marketing campaigns or created and executed by marketing students who were enrolled in an advertising, mass communication, marketing program or equivalent. Students must have been enrolled in classes in both Spring and Fall semesters in 2020. Nominations can originate from Individual Students applying on their or on behalf of Collegiate AMA Chapters for significant accomplishments in the field of marketing.
Three Special Awards We Honor:
Marketer Hall of Fame
Awarded to the marketing agency, in-house department, or professional who continuously releases stellar marketing campaigns with exceptional results. The Hall of Fame winner is chosen by the AMA Tampa Bay board of directors each year and will be announced to the public prior to the Marketer of the Year event.
Educator of the Year
Awarded to educators that teach at a 4 year Tampa area college or university and teach marketing related classes such as business, advertising, marketing, communications or media. We honor your commitment to teaching excellence, innovation and student success, by inviting you to submit for Educator of the Year.
Volunteer of the Year
Awarded to the AMA Tampa Bay volunteer who has gone above and beyond their assigned role and duties. The Volunteer of the Year is recognized in the highest regard at the chapter level during the awards ceremony.
