Choose one or several categories to showcase your best marketing campaign results. At the end of the submission period, all entries are tabulated by judges from a different American Marketing Association Chapter for unbiased results.
Cost of Entry:
Early Member Rate – $45
Early Non-Member Rate – $90
Final Member Rate After 1/21 – $60
Final Non-Member Rate After 1/21 – $120
Eligible campaigns for entry:
- Any marketing work that was created during 2018 by a marketer based in Tampa Bay – Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota Counties.
- Any marketing work that was created during 2018 by a marketing/advertising agency in the Tampa Bay area
The same campaign can be submitted in multiple categories but each entry requires a separate application fee. You are more likely to have favorable scores if the campaign is customized based on the category.
10 Award Categories:
Marketing campaigns conducted using print materials such as direct mail, print advertising, flyers, advertorials, collateral, etc.
Marketing campaigns using any form of mass media; TV, Radio, Billboards, or a combination of mass media efforts
Marketing campaigns using any form of digital marketing including email, online display, online video, social media, SEO, SEM, blogs, etc.
Marketing campaigns targeted to B2B conversions, can take the shape of any form of marketing; traditional, digital, or otherwise.
Non-Profit Marketing: Small Network
Campaigns considered were executed for or by non-profits that have a local Tampa Bay presence solely and use marketing dollars to reach this region only.
Non-Profit Marketing: Large Network
Campaigns considered were executed for or by non-profits that have a hub in Tampa Bay, but may not have been founded in this region and use marketing dollars to reach a regional, national, or international presence.
Promotion and execution of a special event (gala, fundraiser, trade show, conference, etc.) to market a brand or message based in Tampa Bay. Events may have been conducted locally, regionally, or nationally, or internationally.
B2C campaigns with a focus on content strategy to share a narrative and result in conversion. Submissions must include a minimum of 5 content marketing pieces.
Campaigns that were created and conducted from key quantitative results from a market study. Submissions should include the results of the study and how it influenced a campaign to reach a new goal or achieve success.
Marketing campaigns created and executed by marketing students who were enrolled in an advertising, mass communication, marketing program or equivalent. Students must have been enrolled in classes in both Spring and Fall semesters in 2018. Nominations can originate from Individual Students applying on their or on behalf of Collegiate AMA Chapters for significant accomplishments in the field of marketing.
Three Special Awards We Honor:
Marketer Hall of Fame
Awarded to the marketing agency, in-house department, or professional who has continuously released stellar marketing campaigns with exceptional results. The Hall of Fame winner is chosen by the AMA Tampa Bay board of directors each year and will be announced to the public prior to the Marketer of the Year event.
Educator of the Year
Awarded to educators that teach at a 4 year Tampa area college or university and teach marketing related classes such as business, advertising, marketing, communications or media. We honor your commitment to teaching excellence, innovation and student success, by inviting you to submit for Educator of the Year.
Volunteer of the Year
Awarded to the AMA Tampa Bay volunteer who has gone above and beyond their assigned role and duties. The Volunteer of the Year is recognized in the highest regard at the chapter level during the awards ceremony.
