The AMA Tampa Bay’s first Hall of Fame Award goes to…….
At the Marketer of the Year awards ceremony on March 23rd, the Publix marketing team will be honored as the inaugural winner of AMA Tampa Bay’s Hall of Fame. Publix Super Markets has a tradition of distinguishing themselves in the marketing community with campaigns that never fail to touch our hearts. This first-ever award acknowledges Publix’s commitment to excellence as a local brand in Tampa Bay.
“It is an honor for Publix to be part of the AMA Tampa Bay’s Marketer of the Year Awards, specifically as the first local brand inducted into the Hall of Fame. We have a talented and energetic marketing team focused on doing great work, so it’s rewarding to have our peers recognize those efforts,” said Maria Brous, Director of Media and Community Relations, Publix Super Markets. “Publix has long been a proud community partner in Tampa Bay and we are thankful to be a pivotal part of the culture that makes it great!”
Founded in 1930 by George Jenkins, Publix is the largest employee-owned retail grocery chain in the United States. Their mission is to be the premier quality food retailer in the world. Publix is one of the 10 largest-volume supermarket chains in the country. Retail sales in 2014 reached $30.6 billion. Currently there are 1,111 store locations in the Southeast employing over 179,000 people.
Tampa Bay brands and agencies are invited to join in the celebration as they receive recognition for their results-based work. The Marketer of the Year awards ceremony held at the Centre Club, will recognize and honor the very best marketers from both brands and agencies for their work, excellence and success in 14 categories, as well as an overall winner, the prestigious Grand Marketer of the Year.
