Submissions are Now Open for AMA Tampa Bay’s Marketer of the Year, Presented in Partnership with Vū Studios
(Tampa, FL) - The American Marketing Association (AMA) Tampa Bay Chapter is now proudly taking submissions for the seventh annual Marketer of the Year Awards (MOY). Local organizations are invited to submit their applications for nine different award categories now through Mar 11, 2022at amatampabay.org/moy. This annual signature event for AMA Tampa Bay celebrates innovative, results-driven marketing campaigns created in the Tampa Bay area during 2021. Local companies such as Tampa General Hospital, Big Sea, 22Squared/Advent Health, and Metropolitan Ministries are amongst past winners.
“This year we re-evaluated our award categories to more accurately reflect our changing roles within the profession and the amazing work and contributions from marketing professionals in the Tampa Bay area,” said AMA Tampa Bay chapter president Hussain Shamseddine. “For example, this year we are proud to recognize those who had award-winning campaigns addressing disenfranchised groups with our Diversity in Marketing and Advertising award and campaigns that incorporated positive messaging while uplifting the Tampa Bay community with our Feel-Good Marketing Campaign award category.”
AMA Tampa Bay also added an Immersive Marketing Campaign award category to this year’s lineup. “Tampa is increasingly receiving national recognition as a growing tech hub and its marketers are leveraging emerging technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D design to help tell their brand stories in innovative ways., “ said Shamseddine. “We will discover how these new technologies made an impact and celebrate them on May 4th during our in-person awards ceremony presented in partnership with Vū Studios at their state-of-the-art virtual production studio.”
The nine categories include Student Marketing, Non-Profit Marketing, Immersive Marketing Campaign, Feel-Good Marketing Campaign, Event Marketing, Diversity in Marketing and Advertising Award, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, and B2B Marketing.
In addition to the above categories, four additional awards will be given for extraordinary work in the following areas: Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Grand Marketer of the Year, and the 2021 AMA Tampa Bay Marketing Hall of Fame award.
The Hall of Fame Award, voted on by the AMA board of directors, recognizes a venerable local brand that has distinguished itself in the marketing community for its excellence and continues to be seen as a leader in marketing and community relations. The Grand Marketer of the Year Award is the most coveted award of the evening and is given to the top-scoring entry among all categories.
This year’s event will be held at Vū Virtual Production Studio on May 4. Tickets go on sale on April 1st, 2022 at amatampabay.org.
